Project Description: New PK-12 School
Total Square Feet: 238,500
Approximate
Contract Amount:

$33 Million
Delivery System: Construction Management

Special Project Feature: Parkway School District involves three villages (Rockford, Mendon and Willshire). Before the new school, the school system had to bus students to all three villages. Students were bussed from Mendon or Willshire to Rockford, and Rockford students would have to switch busses to either go to Willshire or Mendon. Now that all students are attending their new Parkway School in Rockford, no student has to switch busses. Seventeen Prime contractors were used on this project. There are two gymnasiums one for the elementary and one for the high school students. There are 5 acres of standing seam metal roofing and approximately 5.5 million feet of electrical wiring used on this project (that’s 975 miles).
